“ESADE business administration degree”

Évaluation globaleFor not one second have I regretted choosing ESADE as the university of my choice. The courses are not structured as traditional university classes, instead they remind a bit of high school: attendance is mandatory, homework and weekly quizzes and lots of teamwork. I believe that this is a great way of keeping students motivated and up-to-date with course material and avoid procrastination. Additionally, this great emphasis on team work greatly prepares each student for their future working life.
Our teachers have shown incredible knowledge and teaching abilities, each one coming from a diverse background of work experience. The only reason for the loss of one star in my overall rating is the somewhat unorganised, for example I have had lots of trouble choosing and receiving electives (we need to reach a minimum by the end of our studies), lastly having to resort to choosing some that I was not personally interested in. Also now during the pandemic, the communication was very bad: we received very few emails updating about new rules and regulations. At first we were told that uni would restart in April, one day before classes started we still had no official communication from University (it did not start).
But overall, I am extremely happy with the quality of the campus, teachers and courses. The city is a also amazing.

Not to live in the Residence Hall. I lived there for about a month and it was a waste of money. It was also very isolating socially, as most students lived downtown and cab rides to the Res Hall were quite expensive.
Also, get a mobile phone as soon as you can. It improves your social life immensely and is very cheap and easy to use. The mobile phone system is far better than the system in the United States.

The university is small, but they do plan a lot of diverse and fun activities for exchange students. Through the university alone, I went on a ski trip to Andorra, trips to Girona and Figueres. ESADE sponsored a "sports competition weekend" at a resort in the country that was really fun. There was an end-of-semester ball and a Christmas party, in addition to the weekly parties planned in conjunction with local clubs. Academically, ESADE has a good reputation. If you're looking for a challenge, this may not be the place, but you can learn a lot if you choose to. I was able to take my classes pass/fail, so it wasn't a huge priority for me.

I have to say the year spent in Barcelona was the best in my life. Although I can't say I was challenged academically, I was challenged in so many other ways, especially with language and cultural barriers. Barcelona is my favorite city in Europe. It is completely unique. It's not a typical Spanish city, but it's not like any other European city either. It has beautiful architecture, the sea, and the mountains, all in one. There are so many things to do there, but it is also not TOO far away from the rest of Europe or Spain by train. If you can't study there, you MUST go visit.

take your time catalan people are not as open as you can think, if you want to see a lot of other erasmus in esade go during the first tirm

it's better to know a little bit of spanish before your stay, because most of the spanish people don't speak english or french
it's dificult to find a place to live that's not too expensive, not too far from school and not too durty, but you always find

“Good career outlook”

Évaluation globaleTh BBA offers a good diversity of core + elective classes for the student's preferred field (marketing, finance, operations, HR, digital...). Classes are structured in lecture and practical sessions for absorbing knowledge and putting it into practice. Study is intensive, classes are three hours long, a day can have anywhere from 1 class to 3 classes (3, 6 or 9 hours of class). Language courses are not optional and the the selection is a bit limited.
Employers of BBA students commonly are renowned international firms. Future career outlook is very positive and career services and support are good.

It is a good school, one of the best for business in spain. The classes in the 5th year are very good, interactive and small. I did not participate in the class discussions as much as I would have liked because of the language problem. Overall, the classes were stimulating, not too much work, and there is a lot of support for international students here.

Try to schedule your classes so you don´t have class on monday or friday, or both. Use the long weekends to travel around spain, there is a lot to see.
